1. In my essay I made similar mistakes that I commonly do. My friend is a native English speaker. Though I could figure out my mistakes, she explained them to me more vividly.

Some of my errors are:

a. Use of articale the:

The first reason that I like country life better than city life is the fresh environment.

Word choice:

We can feel like more homeliness (familiar) in countries than in cities.

Run on and comma splits:

On the other hand, the environment in country is still pure and fresh.

2.My grade:

I present in class regularly (hoping the first day is exclusive). My quizz scores are good and though my blog postings are not excellent, i am posting them on time. So In my evaluation my participation grade is A-, but i don’t know do i really deserve that or not?

Working with my partner helped me understand a bit more the use of commas. My problem is that I always put them where I don’t need them. For example: “I never thought of how different life could be for those people who live in the countryside, and have direct contact with nature and animals, to those who enjoy the exciting life of the city.” The two commas that are in red are not needed in the sentence. I also learned that I need to work on my spelling because it’s really bad. For example I wrote tethers instead of theater.

About my participation and asaigments I would give me a B+ or a -A because I only missed one class and I informed the teacher I was not going to be able to make it. I always did the assignments and I didn’t do bad in the test.

As i work with Paul i learned about run on and comma those are the common mistakes on my paper.

To fix my run on i need to put period intead of comma to separate two independant clauses.

Paul also fix one of my sentece to make it stronger.

ORGINAL: The interesting thing about this is kids in the country are not exposed to the entire toys we have in the city.

CORRECTION:The interesting thing about it is unlike the kids in the city,the country kids receive less toys but they are much happier with what they get.

Talking about participating grade, i was five minutes late 2 or 3 times,sick one time and i notified my instructor ,my quizzes were not that bad.Overall i can give miself and A or A-

During my peer review, I found that I had got alot better with big mistakes, and now just need to make sure that reread my papers before I turn them in. My partner was Tony and he helped me answer some of the Questions that Mr. Keleher asked in my paper. I also helped him with some of the questions that he had.

I believe that my grade should be either a high B or just a solid B. I only missed 2 days of class and they were both personal reasons. I was never late, but I did miss some assignments.

1)In my peer time, I noticed that the my problems with comma splices is getting better, but I still make some mistakes. Example: Event though Spain has many nice cities and it has a very interesting culture. I forgot to put a comma after the word “cities”.

Another thing, it is that I need to practice my spelling.

The last problem that I have in this essay;it is the verb tense. I have to check twice my sentences.

2)I would give my self a B+. i read all the assignments from the book, and i did all the assignments in “wordpress”. I am always on time. Althought ,i got a bad score in one quize. In The other quizes;i got good grades. I think that B+ ;it is a good grade for my participation grade.

- I had many commas place. Ex: “I do not agree with that idea, also I…”. “I do not agree with that idea. Also I…”.

- One off my common mistakes was spelling. Ex:”witch they seem to call…”. “which they seem to call…”.

- I need to be more specific on what I want to say in my papers.

I would give my self a B; I’m always on time and I never skip class. There was one day that I did not read the assignment ,”The Working Writer”, but no one else in the class did either. I always try my best to learn, and I always write my posts on time.

1) I worked with patel. We both had some of the same type errors.

a) I had some redundant (as usual)

b) I did not put (the) in front the city, country.

c) SP_ I had couple of spelling errors.

2) I think my participation should be A+++++++++++++++++++++. My attendance was very good.

I had good grades (100-120) in all of my quizzes. I always posted my assignments on time.

1. a) I learned not to place commas before every coodinating conjuction because. They should be use just when there is an independent clause follow by a dependent clause. It helps to connect them. ” Colombians are very educated and are known around the world for being the best Spanish speakers”. I used to place commas next to every conjuction.

b)When we use transition words we should place a comma right after. ” However, after the attacks…”

c) We talked about being repetitive. The writter should not use the same word over and over because this will cause the reader to get bored with the lecture. I started almost every sentence the same way. ” Colombia is the best place to live…”. ” Colombia is located in South America…”Colombia counts with a large…”. “Colombia is the second largest producer in coffe…”

2. I think my participation grade should be A. My attendance was very good. I always posted my assigments on time. I had good grades in my quizes from the working writer.

i did my corrections with marjan.

incorrect: people can get good jobs with desire wages.

correct: peple can good jobs with disirable wages in thee city.

incorrect: people who belongs to any category rich, poor, or middle class can survive in city.

correct: people who beongs to any category, rich, poor, or middle class can survive in city.

incorrect:people can easily reach to hospitals in emergency.

correct: people can easily get to hospitals in emergency.

incorrect: i was traveling by bus, and spending my much time in traveling.

correct: i was traveling by bus and spending much time traveling.

i learned haw to oraganize paragraph, and make all paragraph meaningful and ditaile.

i think i shoud get A, but i missed my two class, becaue of ride problem. i had my one quize good,and the second one was average. so i could get B in my participation.

Today I worked with Lucia. She was great. She and I were both knowledgeable of our errors and made the corrections. We both had some of the same type errors.

1. Run ons-There was a big fight, but Michael had no idea he was in a fight he was still high. There was a big fight, but Michael had no idea he was in a fight, he was still high.

2. Comma splice- Michael was an addict, all the signs were there. Michael was an addict. All of the sign to look for were there.

3. Verb tense- He eventually gets with some friends and they get high. He eventually got with some friends and they got high.

I would love to give myself a A, everyone wants an A, but I missed some days. I would even like to try for a B, there again that would not work because I’ve been late several times. I would even like to give myself a C, but again I didn’t do well on the quizes. I thought about the D and F, but decided against that. Overall I did come to class and I really made an effort to learn. So I give myself a grade of C-.

I think Dipak deserves an A in participation.
